Grilled Zucchini Wraps

Image
Alright I am not a vegetarian...yet.  I have been making the switch to eating more veggies and less meat. Will I become a full on vegetarian? Who knows! But Im definitely becoming more aware of where our food comes from.  Let me tell you, that never in a million years did I think I would even consider it. So thats pretty big for me! Whether you are a meat eater or not, this veggie wrap is totally delicious. Even my meat loving husband gave it the thumbs up! Recipe is from  here I just adapted slightly. Grilled Zucchini Wraps (serves 4) -Kale (2 leaves) -Tortilla Wraps -Tomato (I used 11 cherry tomatoes for 4 wraps) -Zucchini (1) -Red Onion (1/2) -Hummus -Olive Oil (I used Avacado Oil!) -Cheese -Salt and Pepper to taste Step 1: Slice the zuchinni into strips lengthwise. Feature Wall

I love mixing things up and trying new things when it comes to decor. Maybe its because I stay at home with my kids and see I see the same 4 rooms all day, everyday. Or because one of my favourite shows is HGTV and I want to redesign and redo my house ALL THE TIME.  But it gets costly to constantly change things, so I wanted to add a feature wall but make it cost effective. So insert awesome wallpaper here:  There are so many amazing patterns both neutral and really funky when it comes to wallpaper! What I also love about wallpaper is how cost effective, yet dramatic it can be. I find it to be quite easy to install. (always buy pre-pasted- trust me) as long as you follow the steps it's pretty straight forward. This is the second time I have done wallpaper so that could by why I found it easy this time. Make sure that your very first strip is straight. I also suggest buying a wallpaper "kit" It includes a tray (to wet your paper), the scraper (to smooth the wallpap...

Travel - Canmore, AB

Image
I live in Alberta, Canada. We have both the prairies and mountains. Depending on what part of Alberta you are in,  you can see both in about an hours time! I love to travel and explore often. I have a bucket list a mile long of places I want to go to and food I want to try. Today we hit up Canmore, AB. Its a cute little town nestled in the Rocky Mountains. There are beautiful pathways for walking in the summer, the mountain views are stunning, and they have really neat shops! But hands down the reason we love Canmore is because of the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company. They have really creative pizzas/flatbreads and ridiculously good Mac n' cheese. I should probably branch out but my favourite flatbread is the Apple Chicken. They roast the Pizzas over an open fire. The BOMB!  We bought our kids the Mac n' Cheese and man it was so good! I think next time I will be ordering the adult version! A bonus for me is that they are a NUT FREE restaurant. I am allergic to nut...

Sheet Pan Pancakes!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I took a break from my blog to spend amazing quality time with my family. I hope you also had a fantastic holiday! Over the last few weeks, Ive tried a ton of new recipes, got some amazing new fashion pieces and did a feature wall in my family room. So over the next few weeks, I will be posting all kinds of recipes, outfits and home decor hacks! First up are these amazing Sheet Pan Pancakes I made over the Christmas break. SUPER simple and totally awesome! I never would have thought to cook pancakes in the oven, but they turned out fluffy, thick and perfect. I'm not sure I will make pancakes any other way now. The best part is that it makes a lot so there is leftovers to freeze. Now I saw this idea on Pinterest but I tweaked the recipe slightly. You'll need -Pancake mix (of your choice!) -Toppings Thats it folks. Make the pancake mix according to the package instructions (times 4). I ended up quadrupling the recipe to fit m...
