Wilderness Room

On today's blog I'm showcasing my son's bedroom!

I was about 5 months pregnant with my 2nd boy and "Pinteresting", when I came across a wilderness theme. I instantly knew I wanted it for Levi because it was cute and a little whimsical.

So my idea was set but I had a hard time finding wilderness themed items. So I DIY'd a lot of the decorations for his room. Here are some easy and cute wilderness themed DIY's!

                                                                               1) Felt succulents:

These were really fun to make and actually quite easy. I bought all of my supplies at Michael's. Its actually a picture frame I painted and then hot glued everything on! I chose to go with 3 different variations of green felt for variety. I also cut out different patterns and added moss in the background. I really liked the way turned out!

2) Hand painted fox.

I found the inspiration for this Fox on Pinterest. Shortly after I found this awesome wood slice at Michael's! A good tip with free handing is always going in with a pencil and eraser, even tracing it on. Stick with simple themes and play around with layering your paint.

                                                                               3) Gold triangles.
Thankfully my dad has a cutter and the materials so he made a bunch of triangles for me! After a lot of measurements and pencil marks, I loved the end result!  (I also made the 3 canvas pictures) I have seen a lot of Etsy shops and even Amazon sell similar things though!
Annndd let's zoom in on that lamp because 😍❤👌. I will be moving this to my family room if I change up Levis room! I mean look at that base! The detail is really awesome and #allthegoldthings

4) Wood name:
I added some key peices to finish it off. I picked up the letters L-E-V-I from Michaels and found some pinecones, leaves and moss there as well. It adds a whimsical element to his room that I love!
I got the floating shelf from Ikea. I actually think that this is my favourite decor piece in his room.
