Book Review: Always by Jody Helund

First and foremost let's talk about this stunning cover 🥰 It is beautiful and sets the tone for this amazing book. They say not to judge a book by its cover but this book: amazing cover=amazing book.

This is Jody Hedlunds first branch off into YA fiction set in the Medieval time period. "Always" is a prequel to her new series, "The Lost Princesses"which releases today! Happy book birthday Jody!

Let me tell you...from the first page I was hooked. I was swept away with the intense beginning that just kept getting better and better. Jody spins a story of love and bravery as an Elite Knight and Noblewomen are both sworn to protect the heirs to the Kingdom. After pledging to both the King and Queen, Lance and Felicia risk their lives for the 3 surviving Princesses. Which leads them on an epic adventure s they encounter rough terrain, wild animals, blood thirsty killers and vicious wolves. Lance and Felicia do whatever is necessary to protect the future of the Kingdom.

Favorite Quote: "Sister Agnes called it "true love's kiss." I didn't know if such a kiss was somehow enchanted. More likely the kiss was a summoning, a beckoning, a pleading that resonated deep within the soul of the dying, urging that person to fight back and to return to the arms of the one giving the kiss."

Uhmm... Mic. Drop.

I was pleasantly surprised at both the characters development throughout the book. It also is a must read before the series because it is a wealth of background information that will make reading the series easier. PLUS it's so good that I stayed up all night reading into completion.  This is a must read!

"Always" is available for purchase today! Happy reading friends!
