My reading nook.
It's no secret that I love to read. I have read over 500 novels to date! So I've always dreamed of a space of my own that's filled with books. ;)
When we moved into our home, it had this tiny space upstairs with no purpose. It was perfect for my little library.
(The crazy thing is I'm missing about 20 books that people are borrowing! I'm still working out the final layout once I get them all back.)
The wall opposite from the bookcases was bare and needed a little something extra. So I added a gallery wall. This wall was a perfect spot for one! I wanted the space to feel elegant and fun. I chose gold accents and pieces that went with my theme. This gallery wall is everything I wanted it to be.

Finally this summer I was able to check it off my list! I was originally wanting a built-in bookcase but $$ so we headed to Ikea instead! We got these Billy bookcases for $60/each. Magically they fit side by side, like they were made for the space!

Lastly I needed a perfect place to curl up and read a good book! I found this chair on Wayfair.ca and I love the studded details. I wanted to add a fun pineapple pillow to brighten it up. I found it at Indigo!
