Breakfast
1) Best Bagel and Coffee
We tried a few bagel places but this was by far the best bagel place we tried. What's a trip to New York without eating a bagel right? Well look no farther. Get the plain bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. Its life changing! (They are also extremely large! We were full and skipped lunch!)
Cost:$6.00
Cost:$6.00
2) Lenwich
This one was a random stop and I'm so glad we did! The wrap was filled with home fries, egg and grilled pastrami. It was filling and really delicious. Price point was also good for the size of wrap $6.00
3) The Bagel Store
This was more of a novelty bagel. Although it tasted good it was more out of the way. (In Brooklyn) The bagel itself was fun though! It was like eating dessert for breakfast. Ladies and gentlemen the rainbow bagel with confetti cream cheese!
Lunch/Dinner
1) Black Tap
We heard that the wait times can be crazy here but it really wasnt bad. Although we went at 2 o'clock....we only waited 20 minutes. We got the onion rings with chipotle mayo **drool** so amazing. The classic cheeseburger (reminds me of shake shack!) And the show stopper...the Milkshake! They are crazy there! This was by far the most expensive restaurant we ate at. The milkshake was $15 π At least it tasted as good as it looked!
2) Shake Shack
If you have yet to try shake shack. Do it. The burgers melt in your mouth and they have really good fries there! Price range is medium. It's about $6 for a basic burger and $3-4 for a side of fries.
3) Bergenline Pizza
This pizza shop is actually in New Jersey. But legit the best cheese pizza I've ever had. We got it every night and at $2/ giant slice. How could we not??? The owner was always so nice! We became friends! Haha
4) Los Tacos No.1
Located in the vibrant and funky Chelsea Market in NYC. The most amazing traditional tacos. I could have eaten them all day everyday. They were that good!
Desserts
1) Eggloo
Traditional Hong Kong waffles with ice cream and toppings of your choosing? Oh baby. Located in the Chinatown district of New York City. The culture is alive and there are multiple singers, dancers and chess players all around. Even an open fish market. This is where we found Eggloo. Life changed π
2) Amanda Bananas
100% bananas. That's it. It was so creamy like ice cream but dairy free! The taste was so good. We got the smores version. Although not located directly in NYC, this baby can be found at Pier 13 in Hoboken NJ
3) Carlos Bakery
Ok I grew up being addicted to watching Buddy on TLC. Which is why one of my must try places was his bakeshop. And of course I got a traditional cannoli! It was so so so good. I didnt see Carlos π but regardless it was a fun experience! The original shop is located in Hoboken, NJ but there is a 2nd location in times square.
4)Magnolia Bakery
Everyone raves about Magnolia bakery and more specifically their banana bread pudding. I can officially say I agree the flavour and texture ...2 thumbs up!
Thanks so much for reading ❤❤ I hope you enjoyed all of the suggestions. Have you gone to New York? What's your favorite food joint?
